She was last seen when her lightsabers were stolen by Barriss Offee in an attempt to frame her, and her revenge on the fallen Jedi has yet to be resolved. While the Star Wars novels continue Asajj's story, she's absolutely deserving of a spinoff that gives her the room to shine. The Sith assassin seemed as evil as they come when the series started, but when the Dark Side betrayed her and her master Count Dooku tried to have her killed, she had a crisis of faith that brought her ever closer to the righteous path. Asajj Ventress went through one of the best character progressions of any villain in The Clone Wars, and thus far audiences have been left without the final piece of her growth into becoming a hero. Of course, Boba's not the only bounty hunter on the block. Darth Vader Nearly Ended in a Surprising Death ASAJJ VENTRESS The Clone Wars never followed up on his rise to becoming the best bounty hunter in the Galaxy, and with the final season waning, there isn't space left to do so. ![]() It proved to be a highlight of the show, but as always Boba's reputation far exceeds the actual screen time he's been given. After first infiltrating a Republic base to assassinate Mace Windu on a quest to avenge his father, Boba was last seen leading his own band of bounty hunters on a classic train heist. Previous arcs in the show followed the budding Boba just starting to learn the tricks of the trade. But The Clone Wars could make it a reality. With The Mandalorian fulfilling dreams of seeing a Star Wars bounty hunter in action, the hope for Boba to get the spotlight as a main character for once seemed to die down a little. The Star Wars project fans have been clamoring after for decades is a Boba Fett-centric show. It seems silly for the creators to spend so much valuable time building up new characters and plotlines if there weren't plans to follow through on it later. The first story arc of the final season revolved around saving Echo and establishing the group. The spinoff seems all the likelier given the characters' late introduction. While a show more centrally focused on any group of clone troopers would be fascinating, the Bad Batch are the cream of the crop in terms of presenting a diverse range of personalities. Featuring the super-strong Wrecker, the brainy whiz Tech, the sniper Crosshair, the expert tracker Hunter and their newest member Echo, there is certainly plenty of personalities to carry their show. Introduced late in the game, the ragtag group of mutant clones known as the Bad Batch did not appear until the debut of the show's final season. With Disney+ making the format more viable than ever, The Clone Wars perfectly set up so many different spinoff possibilities. But as the final season gears up for its final story arc, fans are left wanting more.Īnd there's no reason they can't get it. The scope of the show cast a wide net while still plunging deep into an array of characters, and over the course of seven seasons, it was easy for audiences to become invested in such a wide variety of characters. With such a huge cast it was always going to be impossible for the last season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars to satisfy everyone's character arcs.
